Artistic Dental Bonding

Composite Bonding is a cosmetic dental technique that the team at Romie Lane Dental Group use to improve the appearance of your teeth. The term “composite” refers to a dentally tinted blend of resin materials which are artfully applied to an existing tooth.

Bonding is ideal for repairing cracked or chipped teeth, hiding darkness on the tooth’s surface, or hiding the gaps between frontteeth. Whatever the specific intent, composite bonding creates more visually pleasing teeth and a sparkling smile.

Unlike veneers or crowns, composite bonding doesn’t demand grinding down of the original tooth. Tooth-colored fillings (bonding) can also effectively treat cavities without having to remove large amounts of the natural tooth structure. Not only do you not have those depressing metal fillings, you also have a tooth that is restored more effectively.

The thin coating of resin material lasts for up to 10 years and will produce one or all of the following results:

  • Repair decayed teeth.
  • Repair cracked or chipped teeth.
  • Lighten discolored teeth.
  • Erase gaps between teeth.
  • Alter a tooth’s length or shape.
  • Protect the tooth’s root if shrinking gum tissue has exposed it.
